Receive a Two Year Trained Dog from Macy’s Autism Pals

Minimum two year waiting period to get a service dog because we pick a dog specific with your needs in mind and it has to grow up

Dog is not trained for your specific child; you meet dog after dog is fully trained. You can train the dog yourself with additional skills if you so choose

The dog is fully trained when you take over after two years

Working with your child begins after the dog is on your home

The dog won't know your child, family or the other animals in your home until they move in with you

A few days of training with you and child when the dog comes to live with you

Dog comes and lives with you after fully trained at about two years’ old

We choose a dog based on our puppy temperament tests

Receive a few days of training when you receive the dog

We certify you as a service dog team with our ADA test all fees included, you have a few days to learn skills when we are with you during final training days

Limited training days with you and your family to master ADA test and learn dog commands

No travel, we will travel to you and spend a few days with you near your home for final training

Get to know the dog after it moves home with you in two years

Dog is trained to a general training plan to become as autism service dog. You can train the dog yourself with additional skills if you so choose

Service dog training vest included along with collar, training leash

Re-certification in two years included

Dog is being trained for your specific child


You enjoy the "waiting period" with visits and handler training during the process of the two years it takes to train the dog

Your child is slowly getting comfortable with the dog over time through visits and training

The dog can get to know your family and animals in your home as the dogs grows to make the transition easier

You are getting trained by us personally over the training period of fourteen to eighteen months

The dog can have weekend overnighters and stay to get to know your family

We choose a dog based on our puppy temperament tests

The dog moves home with you go live with your family after the fees are fully paid and the dog is about fourteen months old and training continues after for a few more months until certified

We certify you as a service dog team with our ADA test, all fees included, you get to take a year learning necessary skills

Can receive as many training days as necessary to become the dog’s handler based on our combined schedules

Travel is necessary. We will come to your home if you’re within a reasonable distance from us and you may need to travel to us as well

Get to know the dog as it grows up

We start out with a general training plan and fine tune it over fourteen months to personalize it for you
